4. First connection and adapter pairing
How to connect the EVpie EVP-1 diagnostic adapter to your vehicle and pair it with the mobile app.
Plugging in the adapter
Firmly insert the EVpie EVP-1 diagnostic adapter into the OBD2 port of your vehicle.
Switching the vehicle on
Switch the vehicle ignition into the drive-ready state (the “READY” mode). The dashboard and instruments must be active.
Activating Bluetooth
Turn on the Bluetooth function on your smartphone.
Launching the app
Open the EVpie app, sign in to your user account and tap the “+” symbol highlighted by the accompanying text “Start here!”.
Selecting the device
The phone will automatically start searching for available devices nearby. Find the adapter named EVpie-BLE in the displayed list and tap it to confirm your choice.
Important notice
Never pair the adapter directly in the system Bluetooth settings of your phone. Pairing takes place directly within the EVpie mobile app.
